Why should I choose POC-1 Pro over other models?

The POC-1 Pro Wi-Fi version is built for modern, flexible communication.
It combines global LTE coverage with Wi-Fi connectivity, giving you two powerful ways to stay connected.
Indoors, it takes advantage of strong Wi-Fi networks in buildings, campuses, warehouses, and hotels for more stable performance.
Outdoors, it works over LTE anywhere there is cellular coverage.
And in remote locations without cellular signal, it can connect to satellite-based Wi-Fi networks such as Starlink, allowing you to maintain global communication even in off-grid environments.

Does it support analog or GMRS mode?

The Pro Wi-Fi operates over LTE and Wi-Fi networks only. It does not include analog modes.
This allows the device to focus entirely on global coverage, and network stability.
If you require local analog communication for off-grid, radio-to-radio use without internet, we recommend the POC-1 Ultra, which combines LTE with analog capability.

Can it work without cellular signal?

Yes! If LTE signal is unavailable, the device can operate over a connected Wi-Fi network.
As long as the Wi-Fi has internet access, you can continue communicating with your team without interruption.

Does it automatically switch between LTE and Wi-Fi?

Yes! The Pro Wi-Fi automatically connects to the strongest available network.
If both LTE and Wi-Fi are available, the device intelligently prioritizes the more stable connection to maintain clear communication.

How do I connect it to a Wi-Fi network or Starlink?

Connecting to Wi-Fi is simple.

Open the Wi-Fi settings on the device
Turn on Wi-Fi
Select your available network
Enter the password
Tap connect

Once connected, the device will use that Wi-Fi network for communication.
This works with standard home Wi-Fi, office networks, mobile hotspots, and satellite internet systems such as Starlink, as long as the network has internet access.

Can the POC-1 Pro Wi-Fi communicate with POC-1 Ultra and POC-1 Lite?

Yes! The POC-1 Pro Wi-Fi is fully compatible with the POC-1 Ultra and POC-1 Lite.
As long as the devices are connected to the Poclink network, they can communicate seamlessly within the same talk groups.
Network type does not affect compatibility, whether the device is using LTE or Wi-Fi.
All Poclink devices operate on the same platform, ensuring smooth communication across your entire team.

Can I use it on Wi-Fi only without a SIM card?

Yes! The Pro Wi-Fi can operate using Wi-Fi only, without a SIM card installed.
As long as the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network with internet access, you can communicate with your team normally.
This makes it ideal for campuses, warehouses, resorts, farms, and remote sites using satellite internet such as Starlink.

How far can it work over Wi-Fi?

When connected to Wi-Fi with internet access, the communication range is unlimited.
The device is not limited by traditional radio distance.
As long as both users are connected to the internet, they can communicate from anywhere in the world.

Can I use the POC-1 Pro Wi-Fi internationally?

Yes! Even if you are overseas without a local SIM card, or if your SIM card does not support that country’s carrier network, you can still communicate globally as long as the device is connected to a local Wi-Fi network with internet access.
Wi-Fi connectivity allows worldwide communication without distance limitations.
If you plan to use LTE abroad, your SIM card must support coverage in that country. Coverage depends on your selected service plan and local carrier agreements. Each POC-1 Pro comes with standard global plan.

Are there any monthly/annual fees?

For a limited time, customers who purchase the POC-1 Pro before March 7 receive FREE lifetime LTE service. Pay $0 in subscription fees. No renewals. No hidden costs.

Is there international/global coverage?

Yes, we offer a Lifetime Free Global Plan covering 84 countries — check the list. Unlike competitors charging $100+ annually for global plans, ours is completely Lifetime Free.

Poclink devices work globally with no hidden fees, contracts, or subscriptions.

If you need coverage in a country not on the list, you can upgrade to our essential or premium global plan. After you receive your units, if you need to upgrade, please email us at support@poclink.com

Do I need to contact Poclink every year to keep my SIM active?

No. You don’t need to reach out annually. Poclink will proactively contact you to confirm your device is still in active use. When it’s time, we’ll provide clear, step-by-step instructions to complete the verification process.

How can I verify my SIM card plan type and validity period?

Start by checking your invoice — it will show the SIM card plan type you purchased.
The validity period is determined based on your purchase date and the SIM’s ICCID (to be found on your physical SIM card).
If you’re not sure or just want to double-check, feel free to email us your ICCID, and our team will be happy to confirm the details for you.

Can I use the radio without app?

YES! All core communication functions—both LTE PTT and Analog PTT—work independently without the app. The app is only needed for advanced features like viewing the live GPS map, managing groups remotely, and changing advanced settings.

How do I download and use the Poclink App?

You can download the Poclink app for free from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Just search for “Poclink” or "Poclink radios".

Or you can go to the footer of this website, we attached a QR code there for you to scan and download it.

Once installed:

On your radio, press “Bind App” to enable pairing mode.
Open the Poclink app and connect via Bluetooth.
Once paired, you can:

Can I create or join multiple talk groups?

Absolutely! With Poclink, you can freely create and manage your own groups—for family, work, travel, or any situation.Each group is independent, so conversations stay organized and never interfere with one another.Unlike some other brands that start charging $10-20 or more per group after your second or third group, Poclink offers unlimited group management for free. No hidden fees, no limits—you’re in full control.

Can the POC-1 Ultra call or ring mobile phone numbers?

The POC-1 Ultra is designed for group communication, not for making regular mobile phone calls. It does not dial or ring standard mobile phone numbers.However, if both radios are connected to the Poclink app, you and your friends can communicate through the app on your smartphones within the same group. Even if you don’t have the radio with you, you can still use the app to stay connected and talk with your group.

Is an EU PMR446 version available?

Yes, we can provide an EU PMR446 version on a case-by-case basis. Please email support@poclink.com and let us know which EU country you’re located in. Our team will review the requirements and get back to you with the available options and next steps.

Who can see my GPS location?

Your privacy is critical. Your location is only shared with the members of your private, encrypted group based on your choice and is only visible on the secure map inside our app. It is never public, and you can turn off location sharing at any time.

If I am currently using another PoC radio brand, do you offer any incentives to switch to Poclink?

Yes. We offer transition incentives for customers moving from other PoC radio systems to Poclink.
